A Day in the Life

Today was a busy day! I felt like my mama filmed everything I did! This morning we went to Jazzercise. When we came home my mama let me play with my very special rattle. As some of you know my grandpa, who I call "the Dude", is a very talented artist. He enjoys working with metal and makes jewelry, bells, and all kinds of cool stuff. He made me the most amazing rattle ever! You can see it in the picture to the left. It has my birthstone on the ends, and all kinds of pictures all over it made from silver. You can see the sailboat, star, lizard, fish, raincloud, the man in the moon's face in the picture. Every time I look at it I find something new. I love my rattle and it makes the most wonderful jingle.

In the video below, you can watch me as I play with my rattle.

In this next video, mama wanted to show everyone what she calls my "bucking bronco". Instead of crawling, I flail my pelvis around like I am riding a bronco. This is how I get places. How else does she think I should do it?

This next video is of me trying to crawl. As you all know, I am quite the swimmer. I keep trying to kick my feet like I do in the water. I don't seem to move as well through the carpet as I do in the water.

This next video shows my newest and greatest trick. Mama taught me how to give a "high five" today. I totally rock at it. So if you run into me any time soon, just ask me to give you a high five and you can see me in action.

Gnomes totally Rock!

For this month's bib of the month club, my YaYa selected gnomes as her inspiration! Both my mama and dadda love gnomes. We have several in our yard. In this first picture I am wearing one of my bibs. The bib says, "Gnomeland Security". I thought that my owl needed to be in the picture so that we could look like tough security guards. Mama thinks we look more like we are in a police lineup.

In this picture I am just kicked back, chillin in my other gnome bib. This one is cool because it also has other woodland creatures on it.

My YaYa sent me this outfit to wear to the aquarium! It has a shark on it and it says "Underwater Adventure". I got so excited about it, I kinda covered the shark up. But believe me, it looks awesome.

This is a better picture of the awesome shoes that go with my aquarium outfit. As you can see, I look totally rad in them.

James Dean look out! I have a new jean jacket and I look really cool in it. I am modeling the jacket over my circus onesie that YaYa made. I go to Jazzercise with Mama every day and the women at Jazzercise won't believe me now!

A gnome package would not be complete without a couple of hand knitted gnome hats! YaYa made this one for me, and mama loved it so much she took a lot of pictures of me in it. I think I totally have the gnome look going in this picture. And if my career as a gnome doesn't work out, I totally think I could have a back up career as one of Santa's elves.

Here is another picture of me in the hat, but you can also see the onesie I am wearing. It has 3 gnomes on it and it says, "Chillin with my gnomies." I love it! Mama told me that my grandfather, who I call "the Dude", has one just like it. That will be so fun to wear our shirts together and match!

YaYa also knitted me these really nice booties. As you can see, I just couldn't take my eyes off them. She does good work, that YaYa of mine.

This is another gnome shirt she made me. It says, "Hangin' with my Gnomies." I love it, and if you take a close look at my mouth in this picture you might can catch a glimpse of my new tooth that I am rockin'.

These are my new dancing shoes. I love them. They have owls on them. Mama put them on me and I just couldn't stop dancing. She had a difficult time taking this picture.

This is a picture of my other gnome hat that YaYa knitted for me. Mama paired the hat with my onesie that has a gnome riding a grasshopper. I think this is a really good look for me.

I mean, How great do I look in this hat? I am so thankful for my YaYa who loves me so much that she makes me all of these wonderful things. I am going to be the best looking kid out there!

Ok, now for the moment you all have been waiting for!! Here is the first picture of my first tooth!! The one beside it is about to break through too! Mama worked really hard to get this picture. I just like to show her my tongue.

All about Bugs

This month YaYa's bib of the month club was all about bugs. I love bugs, so I was very excited! This first onesie is from the fall collection. It is hard to see but there is a really cool guy riding a grasshopper. I hope one day I can ride a grasshopper, that would be awesome! Mama liked this shot because it gives you a look at my muscular thighs. I try to give her versitile looks so that you guys won't get bored looking at pictures of me.

This next onesie is also from my fall collection. I can't wait for the weather to turn cooler so I can wear these on a regular basis. They are sooo soft and comfy! As you can see, I look really good in blue. This one has a really neat vintage looking picture of a grasshopper talking to a clown. YaYa found some of the coolest stuff to put on my onesies.

This onesie has a really cool dragonfly feeding a black bird on it. I love it and I do think I look really good in black.

This is a picture of me chillin in my little orange jumpsuit. It has bugs embroidered on it too. As you can see, it fits me to a tee. And mama loves how it brings out the red in my hair. She is so excited to see it turning strawberry.

This is a picture of me with my grasshopper onesie on. This is the face I made when mama told me that my YaYa made all these just for me. I mean, I just can't believe it. She is so talented. And she has really great taste.

This is my night owl nightgown. It is really great to sleep in. I am laying on the owl blanket that YaYa made to go with my nightgown. Mama is all about the owls, and I think they are cool too. I love to fall asleep rubbing my blanket between my fingers.

Ok, so I had to show you my newest trick. I was supposed to be modeling my onesie with the fighting praying mantis on it. But I had to show you the newest trick I do, and I am very proud of it. I mean, can you put your toe in your mouth? It requires great skill and flexibility. And it doesn't taste so bad either.

Here is a better shot of me with my praying mantis onesie. You can tell that I have kind of switched from being all about my tongue to being all about my feet. You would be amazed at all I can do with my feet.

One more thing, I went to the doctor last week and I now weigh 15lbs and 2oz. I am now a whopping 25 inches long. My doctor said I look like I am growing perfectly. And while I was sitting waiting for the doctor, mama found my first tooth! As soon as there is enough to take a picture of we will post pics. Most of the time when mama tries to look at my tooth, I show her my tongue.

Oh No! Not Green Beans

A couple of weeks ago mama started feeding me food from jars. First she started with banana. The first day I spit it out, but the second day it grew on me and I kept encouraging her to spoon more in my mouth by saying, "Ymmmmm!" I then tried cereal which I like too. But then mama tried to get me to eat this nasty green sludge that she calls "green beans". I have tried sweet potatoes (my favorite), peas (they're ok), peaches (ymmm!), carrots (pretty good but not as good as sweet potatoes), cereal (good), pears (real good), green beans (yucky!) and bananas. Man do I love bananas, but I broke out in a rash, and mama said it was the bananas that did it. I keep trying to tell her it was the green beans but she won't listen. In the first picture you can see me happy to eat bananas. In the next picture was my first taste of cereal, but it grew on me. And the video is of me eating the horrid green beans. It is not a video for the faint of heart. In the video I keep trying to politely tell mama that they are horrid. She has trouble taking the hint. But I am warning all you family and friends, stay away from things called "green beans."

The Tickle Monster

Lately my dad has become the tickle monster. He loves to see if he can get me to giggle. This is a video of him having success. I will warn you, my giggle is quite contagious.

Fishies!

For mama's birthday we went to the Georgia Aquarium. There were soo many fish! I loved looking at all of them, but my favorite were the colorful tropical fish. This picture is of me and dada trying to count them all.

At the aquarium I saw my first movie!! It was in 3D, and they didn't have any glasses in my size, so I had to watch it all blurry. I liked it but then they squirted me with water. That was ok, but they also blew air up mama's dress and she jumped and that made me a little upset. Nobody messes with my mama!

This picture is of me noticing that there are even more fish up at the top!

A Pirate at the Pool

Yo Ho Yo Ho, a Pirate's life for me. July went by really fast. I went to the pool a lot, I started eating solid foods, we went to the aquarium for mama's birthday. We have been really busy. These pictures are from me scavenging and looking for booty at the pool.

Here I am sitting on the steps at the pool. I contemplate life's mysteries a lot while soaking on these steps.

I get really excited when I realize I can touch the bottom! It has been so hot lately the water feels a lot like bath water.

This is me showing my intimidating pirate face next to my first mate. He is a tough pirate too.
